Southern Wisconsin photographer, specializing in editorial, nature, event and stock photography. Charly Makray-Rice's work has appeared in textbooks, online publications, travel guides and brochures for the resort and tourism industry.
While still working her day job, in 2009, Charly placed received Honorable Mentions in two PDN national photography contests, and was a Semi-finalist in the Smithsonian.com photography contest which drew over 20,000 entries.
Nature, stock photography, and editorial photography are the main passion and focus of Charly's creative energies. Focusing on the wetland environments of Wisconsin, Charly excels at highlighting textures and often subtle variations of color that lend depth to seldom explored landscapes.
